Dec. 10th, 2018 10:33 pmSo I have an account on tumblr. An account on dreamwidth. And now an account on pillowfort.
This is...uhh...overkill.
I'm the kind of person who really only does one thing on the internet. Like, I don't really have a "presence' online in more than one place. I've hopped around a lot, like I used to use facebook a lot more, and before that it was like the old school message boards, but I don't know how to juggle different social media accounts at the same time and I don't really want to try to figure it out, either. I just want to be settled in one place.
Honestly, the nsfw ban on tumblr is dumb, obviously, but it doesn't actually affect me personally all that much. Like, I don't post porn, and I don't look for it (and between you and me I think it would do the world good if there was less of it...) But what has made me more nervous has been the rumors that the staff and higher ups on the site are totally inept and how the whole site is just going downhill no matter what because they can't run the company effectively.
I realize it's dumb to be upset about a website. Like, heyyy go outside!
But I'm really afraid of losing people in the hubbub of figuring out what the next thing is going to be.
I think, for now, I might just be copy and pasting essentially the same content on each platform until I can decide which one is going to stick. Would that be annoying? (Do I care?)

Dec. 5th, 2018 08:25 pmHonestly I’m mostly stressed about the fact that I’m not really in any huge fandoms. Silent film? Romance novels? They’re not exactly the MCU if ya catch my drift. So like, on newer, smaller platforms like dreamwidth or pillowfort, it’s gone be harder to find “my people.”
I feel kinda untethered and uncomfortable, tbh. Tumblr is only talking about the flagging thing and I’m like can I just pretend this isn’t happening and everything go back to normal? Please?
